Wayne Perrey, widely known as the “new face of DIY” is a TV carpenter & presenter who started his career as the first on-camera carpenter to feature on both interior design and garden makeover shows, such as the BBC's Garden Rescue, Interior Design Masters and ITV's Love Your Garden. He is now the regular DIY expert on BBC One's flagship show Morning Live as well as ITV1's Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh.

He inspires his audience to attempt DIY through writing regular items for the Sunday Times Homes magazine and presenting his successful TV Carpenter Podcast live on the main stage at London's Ideal Home Show.

As a presenter Wayne has had the privilege of highlighting topics around men's mental health, domestic abuse survivors, and is honoured to be judging this year's BBC Make A Difference awards.

Over the past few years, he has created e-books and online courses and is currently engaging and helping members in his Interior Designers Support Group and DIY Do-ers Facebook groups.

Living in London with his wife and 16-year-old daughter, Wayne is not embarrassed to admit that even though he changed career 12 years ago by swapping the glitter of being a West End leading performer for the saw dust of the power tools on makeover shows, he has never looked back. He just apologises if when you work together, he starts to hum the odd show tune… now you know why!
