Suzanne Shaw made her professional TV debut at the age of 12 in the BBC children's drama Elidor. Following this she appeared in several television series including City Central, The Courtroom and Holby City.
Her big break came in 2001 when she auditioned for the ITV show Popstars, and subsequently won a place in the newly-formed pop band, Hear'say. The group's debut single was the fastest selling non-charitable record in UK chart history, selling over 1.3 million copies. They went on to have 2 number one records and 4 top 10 hits. In addition to their chart success, they had their own Saturday night TV show Hear'say It's Saturday, performed at the Royal Variety Show with Elton John, and headlined their own hit UK tour.
When the band split in 2003, Suzanne returned to her roots and has gone on to carve a successful career in musical theatre, plays and television. Her numerous theatre credits include: Roxie Hart in the West End production of Chicago, in which she was nominated for ‘Best Takeover in a Role’ in the What's on Stage Theatregoer's Choice Awards, Bobby in the remake of Summer Holiday (National tour), Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the New London Theatre, West End; Janet in The Rocky Horror Show (National Tour and West End); Judy in White Christmas (Lowry Theatre, Manchester); the National tour of Vagina Monologues; Irene in Bill Kenwright's production of Funny Peculiar (National Tour); Geraldine in the brand new play Baggage at the Arts Theatre, London; and Kristine in About Miss Julie (King's Head, London); Pantomimes include; title role in Snow White (Milton Keynes); title role in Cinderella; (Manchester and Bristol); Genie in Aladdin (Richmond) and Fairy Godmother in Cinderella (Aylesbury); title role in Cinderella (Birmingham Hippodrome) and Alice in Dick Whittington (Southampton & Birmingham Hippodrome).
Screen credits include guest starring in The Bill, Tara in the new online TV series Five-a-side and as series regular Eve Jensen in ITV's Emmerdale from 2009-2011.
In 2008 Suzanne won series 3 of ITV's hit show Dancing On Ice. Due to her success on the show she was asked back to compete in the ninth and final series Allstars: Dancing On Ice. Suzanne also competed in three National Arena Tours of the show.
Suzanne's numerous presenting credits include being a regular panellist on Loose Women; Bingo Lotto, alongside Joe Pasquale, and as part of the regular This Morning competition team.
Writing/Production credits include: Creative producer for the UK Tour of Professionals on Ice; part of the original creative team for Eugenius The Musical, Assistant Director on Cinderella (Aylesbury) and a weekly pregnancy/baby columnist for Closer Online.
Suzanne also created, wrote and produced a TV pilot called The Cast, which later developed into Save Our Savoy starring Sally Phillips.
Since 2020, Suzanne has grown her health and fitness brand becoming a highly established profile within this industry, particularly the running community. Through changing her lifestyle (quitting alcohol, going plant-based and taking up running) and documenting an honest account about her journey online, she is working with some reputable brands in this field including, Pikt Fresh, Lyres, Body Camp, UNLTD, La Fauxmagerie and Suzanne is an ongoing ambassador for the sports brand Mizuno.
Other ambassador roles for brands include; Barbie Mattel, Kelloggs, Michelle Mone Lingerie collection for Asda, Canva Holidays, Peugeot, Yahoo.
Through Suzanne's health and fitness activities and qualifying as a life-coach in 2022, Suzanne has launched her own online wellness app/community ‘The Happy Health Club’ where thousands of members enjoy a range of well being actives and chats including fitness classes, alcohol free coaching sessions, cook-alongs and live expert Q&A's.
Suzanne's keynote speaking appearances include; National Running Show Farnborough International 2021; Festival of Sport 2021/22/23; Mental Health Awards 2022; OIA Conference 2022; VegFest 2023; National Running Show NEC 2022/23; WISC Conference 2023; Wellness Festival 2022; The Big Retreat 2023.
