Nina Hossain
News Anchor & Journalist
Official Agent: Jo Carlton
ITN's Nina Hossain is an award-winning journalist with nearly 30 years of broadcasting experience.
Nina anchors the ITV Lunchtime News, after being poached from the BBC two decades ago.
Her career has seen her present coverage of all the major news stories in that time; including the death of the Queen, the Queen's funeral, the King's Coronation and the last two Royal Weddings.
Since 2015 she has presented on every election overnight programme and fronted special programmes and podcasts on a range of stories including politics, terror attacks, the Grenfell Tower fire, the pandemic and the invasion of Ukraine.
She has won two personal RTS awards for her presenting, and three while fronting the ITV Evening News and ITV News London.
Her favourite story to work on was the 2012 Olympics; an opportunity to bring viewers a reason to celebrate, night after night after night.
She loves presenting from the studio, but much prefers being on an outside broadcast.
When not writing and fronting daily news, she's equally comfortable on stage and has a wealth of experience hosting conferences for big business, or hosting awards ceremonies for organisations.
She adores doing ‘in conversations’ especially with creatives, and loves hosting press conferences for ITV or the BFI for big dramas such as Broadchurch, Breathtaking and Litvinenko.
Nina was born in Huddersfield, is a Durham Graduate, has three children and is autistic.
Her professional passions are mental health and equality. Nina loves to travel and enjoys music and snowboarding.
