Natasha Dowie
Football Pundit & Commentator
Official Agent: Jo Carlton
Natasha Dowie is an English former footballer. It's fair to say she's from a football family. Her father played and managed in non league football, her uncle Iain played for a host of big clubs and represented her grandma's home nation of Northern Ireland and she's even married to an ex-player; her former teammate Becky.
When a young boy or girl is starting out in their football career they will often daydream about the clubs they might play for if everything goes to plan. A glance at Tash's Wikipedia page has a list of teams that might be on those kind of wishlists… Everton, Liverpool, AC Milan and, of course, England.
That doesn't tell half the story though. Tash started playing women's football as a teenager, when the explosion of the women's game hadn't yet happened and progress was slow. A dynamic striker, she has been equally dynamic in her decision-making as she has used football to give her opportunities to explore the world, playing in the United States, Australia, Sweden, Norway and Italy. There are so many highlights but two WSL titles with Liverpool, including a season as the league's top scorer and winner of the FA Players' Player of the Year, is hard to beat.
There's more to her than just playing football however; Tash is just as passionate about welfare off the pitch and working to support WSL Academies and other young sportspeople.
Tash retired at the end of the 2022/23 season and continues her association with Liverpool FC by working for the club as an Ambassador and also through the club's TV channel LFCtv.
Natasha is a confident and experienced pundit in both men's and women's football, at the national and international levels; with numerous podcasting contributions and commentating credits on talkSPORT, BBC Radio 5Live and Fox Sports (Australia).
She is a popular speaker for corporate events and panel work, able to talk with ease about her own football journey and the growth of the women's game. Recent engagements include the South by Southwest conference in Texas and the Google Pixel panel in London.
