As a child Danusia Francis had two big dreams: to become an Olympian and a TV presenter. After twenty-two years of training, missing out on two Olympic Games by a whisker, and a global pandemic, she finally made it to the postponed Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

With one dream ticked off, Danusia is now focusing her time and energy on presenting. In 2024 she returned to the Olympics; this time as a commentator for Discovery+. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for Danusia, who received great feedback. At the Broadcast Sport Awards, Discovery+ won Sports Production of the Year (Quadrennial) for their Paris Olympics coverage, which Danusia was thrilled to have been a part of.

Danusia has also gained valuable experience on camera; at the 2024 Sports Journalism Awards, she was on camera interviewing nominees, award winners, and VIPs such as Jamie Carragher and SJA President Darren Lewis. She had a fantastic time at the 2024 British Gymnastics Championships, which were broadcast live on BBC Sport for the first time and Danusia co-hosted the event from a studio in the arena, interviewing guests and discussing the competition live on air.

Beating hundreds of applicants through a multi-stage audition process, Danusia co-hosted both the Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. This was an incredible live hosting experience including a 30 minute live pre-show and athlete interviews at each competition. She also had the challenging and fulfilling task of hosting, announcing and interviewing at the World Gymnastics Championships 2022. Positive feedback from the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) included: “simply exceptional… passion was absolutely communicative” and “on-the-spot FOP interviews of athletes at the end of their competitions were simply invaluable in stirring the public's emotions.”

Outside of sports she has had live presenting experience on YouTube music show, Live East as well other live student productions. She was given the opportunity to be the backstage interviewer at world renowned competition Top Model for both their coaching weekend and their grand finals.

Danusia is also an experienced public speaker, delivering many talks at schools nationwide and participating in a panel at Harvard University in 2023 as part of their Women in Power Conference. Gaining valuable experience working as a stunt performer in both movies and series such as Wonder Women 1984 and Black Mirror has given Danusia valuable on-set experience in front of the camera and behind the scenes.

Danusia has a natural showmanship ability that years of performing to large crowds has ingrained within her; she knows how to work a room and an audience effortlessly. However, she is also empathetic and can hold a conversation with anyone. She aspires to host documentaries bringing awareness to different topics she can relate to. She enjoys interviewing passionate people from all walks of life and also sees herself presenting entertainment shows where real people are growing, learning and pushing themselves outside their comfort zones.
